About the Designer

 

If you've heard of Love and Basketball, maybe you've heard of Basketball and Fashionista, Rachele Fitz. Former basketball Hall of Famer, Rachele was the all time leading scorer and rebounder in Marist women's basketball history. Surpassing 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds through her career, she also made her mark in fashion. Rachele worked with Betsy Johnson, participated in several fashion weeks and prepared her own collection during her years at Marist. Excelling both on the court and in the classroom, she received numerous awards including; Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the year three years in a row, played on four NCAA tournament teams, and finished her senior year with Student Athlete of the year. Graduating Cum Laude at one of the top 5 fashion programs in the nation, it didn't take Rachele long before she became a fashionista. Rachele went on to be the first woman to have her jersey retired at Marist. After graduation her dream of continuing to incorporate fashion and basketball was made possible in the Fall of 2013, by creating her line FitzU.
